  <dc:title>Letter</dc:title>
<dc:description>John Bescoby-Chambers and David Ernest Fuller to District Auditor, lodging objection to the accounts for the two years ended 31 Mar 1974. The objections are:

1. That the accounts included the expenses of the Housing Commissioner (appointed to enforce the Housing Finance Act after the UDC declined to do so); these should be surcharged upon the elected members

2. The general rate fund has a deficit because an insufficient rate was collected; interest should be surcharged

3. The expenditure on housing repairs was excessive

4. The pay increases granted to some employees were unreasonable and should be surcharged
