<dc:description>The aftermath of the fatal accident of 6 October. The 0835 Middleton Top to Parsley Hay freight, consisting of four wagons loaded with limestone and a 20 ton brakevan hauled by ex-LMS North London tank No. 27521 of 1892, that became derailed and rolled down the 30' high embankment onto the Wirksworth-Brassington road. This photograph shows the pile of tangled wreckage and the six-coupled locomotive on its side, having rolled down the embankment on to the Wirksworth to Brassington road.
