  <dc:title>Cromford Goods</dc:title>
<dc:description>An ancient sign stands by the side of the Cromford Canal presumably near the bridge over the Midland Railway opposite Brown's Bridge. It originally read: "London Midland and Scottish Railway Co. Cromford Canal Take Notice Any person using the towing path of this canal for the purpose of riding or wheeling any bicycle handcart or barrow without having previously received the consent of the LMSR Co will be liable to prosecution By Order". The sign will be post 1923 when the grouping of railway companies took place.</dc:description>
