  <dc:title>Middleton Top</dc:title>
<dc:description>After Middleton Incline had closed on the 3rd June 1963, the track remained in situ for some time and is still present at the time of the visit by the RCTS. The warning sign for the incline is now partially missing and the weeds are growing on the trackbed. However, it would appear that the incline is still capable of being wound as the rope is still present and appears to pass through a circular hole in the temporary buffer stop. The reason for this is obscure. In the background is Barrel Edge and Black Rock just above the warning sign. Participants from the tour are descending the incline to Middleton Bottom.</dc:description>
