  <dc:title>Middleton Incline</dc:title>
<dc:description>View down the incline from near the top with the old LNW signal guarding the top of the incline. The catch points are clearly visible on both up and down lines on the 1:8¼ gradient. Note the warning board beyond the signal. The catch points and signal were presumably interlocked once upon a time, so both operated together from the lever by the side of the cabin at the top of the incline (see 17/2/22).</dc:description>
