  <dc:title>Middleton Top Engine House</dc:title>
<dc:description>Close up of the octagonal front of the engine house with visitors on the steps. Note the three wires entering the engine house through the wall. The top one connects the indicators at the bottom of the incline with the one inside the engine house. The purpose of the middle one is unknown, was it connected to the signal? The lower one indicates if the catch points are set or not at the top of the incline. Note the guide post for the wires, and one of the rope guide wheels propped up against the engine house wall.</dc:description>
