Cromford Goods An ascending run starts consisting of two empty 16 ton mineral wagons. Note the chains across the down line, these will need moving before any descending wagons arrive! The 'donkey' is visible at the back of the rear wagon, which enables the rope to fall back in line with the rollers on the curves.
