  <dc:description>Looking north towards the junction of the CHPR route from Shallcross Yard to Whaley Bridge terminus (right), and the former spur of 1857 to the SD&amp;WB.  When the Buxton Extension of the SD&amp;WB was built, it was unable to climb sufficiently to gain enough height to clear the CHPR, as a consequence the CHPR line was lowered and diverted to the south, even so this only gave a maximum headroom of 10ft 6in!</dc:description>
