  <dc:description>[Lacking the first and last pages] - reciting an earlier indenture of 14 Dec 12° Charles I which demised for a term of 31 years from Michaelmas then last past at a rent of £8 pa unspecified property, etc, and all profits of all courts held in the Manor of High Peak demised to Thomas Bray under the yearly rent of £10 which were all part of the Duchy of Lancaster and by an indenture dated 30 June 1665 were granted to Philip Earl of Chesterfield, Francis Slingsby Esq., and others specified, for 99 years in trust for the said Queen Catherine the Consort, now the Queen Dowager during her life, etc, namely a castle and other premises, manors, parks, (reserving the patronage of churches, and the rights to mines of gold and silver), all demised to Robert Howard.
