  <dc:description>Dorothy was the only daughter of the Revd William Peter Wright. She grew up at her father's vicarage at Stokesley, Yorkshire, and was educated at The Cliff, Eastbourne. She moved to Eyam Hall with her parents in 1923, and stayed there until 1946 or 1947 when she moved to the Harrogate area. She married her relative Charles Johnson Thornewill in 1955. Dorothy died, without children, in 1993 and was buried in Ripon Cathedral</dc:description>
