Alexander Ogden (1834-1915) Mr Ogden was associated with hosiery and farming until 1876 when he moved from Denby to Stanley as general manager of the Stanley Kilburn Colliery. He was president and treasurer of the Stanley and West Hallam Liberal Association in 1887 and was involved in election campaigns from the 1860s.
