  <dc:description>Parchment bound volume, with embossed lozenge pattern on front, with a ledger at the beginning of the volume and journal towards the rear, 11 Apr 1682-23 Aug 1697.  

The volume begins with ‘Inventory Account’ followed by other ledger entries including corne account, quick stock account, wool account, household expanses, apparel [clothing], horseflesh, and accounts with named individuals.  The accounts refer to, amongst other things, voyages to Barbados and Cadiz; purchase of shares in The Royal African Company; accounts with individuals including Edward Mundy's brothers William and Gilbert and his servants Jervis Woodruff and Hester Jenkinson.

At the back of the book is ‘The journall or day booke containeing all merchandize, accompts and dealeings belonging to mee, Edward Mundy from the 28th March 1682’ which cross refers to the ledger entries.</dc:description>
