Papers of Alfred Miller Mundy (1809-1877) Alfred Miller Mundy was the seventh of thirteen children born to Edward Miller Mundy II and his wife Nelly Barton. He married Jane Hindmarsh with whom he had five children; Maria Jane (1843-1902), Nellie Hindmarsh (d 1912), Augusta Marian (d 1893), Edward Grey (d 1849 aged 10 months), Alfred Edward Miller Mundy (1849-1920). When Alfred's elder brother, Edward Miller Mundy III died without children in 1849, Alfred inherited the Shipley estate.
