  <dc:title>The Derbyshire Bill</dc:title>
<dc:description>Files of papers relating to the Derbyshire Bill, some particularly in relation to the proposal for a casino at Buxton. This Bill was promoted by Derbyshire County Council with the approval of District Councils in the County. The aim was to rationalise local legislation replacing a number of existing 'Bills' by one new Bill: the Local Government Act 1972 had provided that all existing local legislation would expire in 1984 and a working party of County Council and District Council Officers had been set up in 1975.</dc:description>
