A G Taylor and the Rutland Works A G Taylor had lived in Kentucky (United States of America) where he had acquired property. On returneing to England he used his American property to finance himself in England. In 1899 he leased the Rutland Works in Bakewell from the Duke of Rutland when Groom and company went into receivership 1891-1899
