Shuttlewood Methodist Church Shuttlewood Methodist Church, Chesterfield Road held its last service, and subsequently closed, on Sunday 16 May 1993. The reasons for the closure were two-fold; attendances had fallen to five or six members, and the cost of the repairs identified in the qauinquennial survey of 1991. The Church was advertised for the price of £7,000 due to its delapitated state of repair. In the following twelve months only one offer, of £2,000 plus expenses, was received. In July 1995 this offer was subsequently withdrawn, but another offer was received. In 1996, the building was sold to the Bolsover Drama Group for £3,000 plus expenses. 1950-1992
