William and he have nearly finished the first book of the odes of Horace; "I was surprised how well he construed them; he is indeed greatly improved in his classes, and I think he will become a tolerable good scholar, and I am greatly mistaken if he does not become a good and useful man"; trade in Sheffield has improved greatly - "workmen cannot be had to execute the necessary orders" 17 Jan 1825
