  <dc:title>Parish of Bakewell All Saints</dc:title>
<dc:description>The collection includes documents relating to the various disputes between the chapelries and the mother church of Bakewell over payment towards repairs to the mother church (D2057/A/PI/30/1-81). The other item in this section concerns the assignment of the status of consolidated chapelry to King Sterndale in 1851 (D2057/A/PI/31/1). Deeds relating to the manor of Taddington form a substantial series and date from 1613-1712.

Of considerable interest as regards parish activities are the volume of notes (D2057/A/PI/46/9) and the scrapbook (D2057/A/PI/46/8) which contain references to outbreaks of cattle plague and cholera. There are good series of apprenticeship indentures and settlement papers. Apprenticeship indentures in the section relating to the Overseers of the Poor (D2057/A/PO/7/2-294) date from 1684 to 1869. This series is continued from 1870-1944 in the St Andrew's Charity section (D2057/A/PF/5/4-112).</dc:description>
