These files were arranged by the Area Secretary's Office alphabetically - by surname or organisation name - and filed under the heading 'Miscellaneous Correspondence'. Most of the correspondence was received during a period in which Gordon Butler was Area Secretary, and is from a variety of poltical groups, trade unions, MPs and members of the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) Derbyshire Area, and cover a variety of subjects. The only files preserved by the NUM Derbyshire Area were for the letters C, D and E. 1988-1994
