6 - Decree of the Court of Wards Following an inquisition taken at Derby on 14 Jan 1607 into the wardship and marriage of Edward Lowe, son and heir of Anthony Lowe, deceased and whereas Edward Lowe later exhibited a petition of travers, by Anne Fearne his "prochein amie", against Pattricke Lowe his guardian and was admitted to his travers by decree dated 7 Jas I (1609) and whereas Pattricke Lowe, Thomas Wilson and Nicholas Otwell became bound to the King in 6 obligations of £40 each, dated 9 May, 4 James. I (1606), being for the fine of the marriage of Edward Lowe and for the lease of his lands, declaring that by order of William, Lord Knollys in the court of King's Bench, the said travers should be held good and receive approbation and that the said 6 obligations of £40 should be returned to Patricke Lowe for cancellation. 16 May, 13 James I - 1615

8 - Copy petition Edward Lowe to Charles I Recalling that, at his own expense, he had fitted out his eldest son with a troop of horse in the service of Charles I, in which his other 5 sons served as officers, as a result of which his house and lands were sorely plundered by the parliamentary troops, and asking for the sequestration of the estates of the plunderers in compensation for the damage suffered by him. 10 - Agreement Between John Lowe of Alderwaslee and the Rt. Hon. William, Earl of Yarmouth. For the purchase by the Earl of Lowe's share in a sough called Long Sough on Cromford Moor and of all his share in the groves and lead mines which benefit from the sough and of which he is owner as sough master. In consideration of 10 guineas to be paid to Lowe at the time of the agreement and which he is to retain if the Earl does not complete the purchase, and of £129 5s. to be paid upon completion. Lowe is not to convey the groves and mines which he has as a miner, but only such as he holds in right of the said sough 28 Jun 1687 - 1687
