Kenneth Macpherson settled in Jamaica for many years as a plantation owner at Mount Vernon, not far from Sir Henry Fitzherbert's plantation of Blue Mountain (both in the parish of St Thomas in the East). The two men exchanged visits, newspapers, and gifts such as vegetables, as well as discussing the weather.
