These records were donated to Derbyshire Record Office by the British Caving Research Association Librarian in July 2016. The items had been given to the Association in October 2015 by a friend of their previous owner Peter Crabtree (1937-2003), both of whom had been members of the British Speleological Association (now BCRA). It is not known how the items came to be in Peter Crabtree's possession.
