| Administrative History | Like Winster, (see D776), Elton was a chapelry of Youlgreave until the nineteenth century. The church was re-built 1812-16, on the site of the old church. The registers were badly damaged in a fire at the vicarage in 1871, and some survivals are only fragmentary. |
