DescriptionAnkerus ffrecheville, Lord of Staveley, to John, son and heir of William Martyn of Staveley netherthorp. Five acres of land in the fee of Staveley, of which one acre and three roods lie under Dyfen, between the land of the lord of Wodthorp on the South and the land of a certain John le Gray on the East; three roods lie upon Eware, between the land of Ralph Badcok on the East and the land of the said John Gray on the West; one and a half acres lie upon Tychwaye between the land of the hospital on the North and the land of Edmund Sawage on the South; and one acre lies in Danderyddying between the land of Thomas Martin on the South and Belotryddyng on the North; rendering yearly one rose at the Nativity of St. John the Baptist and two appearances at his court of Staveley, that is, after Easter and Michaelmas. Given at Staveley, Tuesday, 27th December (St. John the Evangelist), 1356.
