Title | Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire: Appletree and Prescott estate |
Date | 1624-1820 |
Description | Thomas Pares II was an under-lessee of the prebend and tithes of Cropredy in Oxfordshire, under Mrs Loveday, and ultimately under the Bishop of Oxford. The lease was renewed in 1810. Thomas Pares, along with his partner Thomas Paget, was also an owner of some property on the Prescott Manor estate in the parish of Cropredy, and of a farm at nearby Appletree, Northamptonshire. The Prescott and Appletree estates were always administered together. The Prescott lands were on lease to John Willifer, while Appletree Farm was tenanted by John Linnell. |
