DescriptionThe 1817 conveyance comprised a messuage and closes of land called the Croft or Collumbell's Croft, Townend Close, Nether Bentley Close, Hill Close, and Castle Hill Closes (c.33 acres in total), conveyed by Robert Battelle (at the direction of Messrs Cox and Curzon) to Thomas Pares.
Bundle includes older title deeds which also refer in part to Old Yards Hill, Columbells Park Meadow, Borrow Wood Close, Borrowash Field and the Reedy Piece in Ockbrook.
