Archive CreatorFred Peacock of Denby (d 1999), local historian
Administrative HistoryFred Peacock of Denby, who died in March 1999, was a well-known local historian. He collected historical information and photographs over many years and contributed the preface to the reprint of Fryar's 'History of Denby', in 1994. Active in parish life, he was also Churchwarden of St Mary's, Denby, for several decades.
Custodial HistoryThese papers and photographs were donated to Derbyshire Record Office in June 2000.
