Administrative HistoryThe Wesleyan chapel was built in 1815. It was part of the Ashby-de-la-Zouch Wesleyan Methodist circuit until 1873 and then part of the Woodville and Swadlincote circuit until the South Derbyshire Methodist Circuit was formed in 1955. For a brief period (1962-1967) it was part of the Newhall and Woodville Methodist Circuit.
Custodial HistoryThe records were deposited by the Superintendent Minister of the South Derbyshire Methodist circuit at various times from December 1983.
