Administrative History
Bernard Hooley was born in Chesterfield in 1893, the son of Isaac Hooley a tailor. He married Beatrice May Reaney in 1915. He joined the Sherwood Foresters before being transferred to the South Staffordshire regiment. He was wounded in action on May 26th 1917 and died on July 26th from his injuries in a London hospital. He was aged 24. He was interred at Spital Cemetery in Chesterfield on July 30th.
