Much of his career was devoted to posts within the Diocese of Derby, including that of assistant Bishop of Derby. He also served as a parish priest in Warwickshire between 1939 and 1946, during which period he also acted as a chaplain in the navy, and later as Bishop in Madagascar from 1952-1962. |
