Administrative History | Tawney House was established as a centre for Adult Education in 1962 and closed in 2005. This collection consists largely of ephemera concerning lecture programmes at Tawney House, but also includes one file of correspondence and three nineteenth century photographs. The photographs do not appear to be directly connected with Tawney House as an educational institution, and include one image of children and, perhaps, a teacher at All Saints' School, Matlock. |
Custodial History | These records were donated by the Tawney House Educational Trust to Derbyshire Record Office in March 2005, further records were donated on behalf of the Trust in October 2017. |
