Derbyshire Cricket Association
Administrative History
Founded in 1945 as the Derby and District Cricket Association, its name changed to the Derbyshire Cricket Association in 1966. The Association existed to assist member clubs and organisations in all matters relating to the game. It was affiliated to (and a founder member of) the National Club Cricket Association. It acted as a body through which amateur cricket in the County could express its needs to regional bodies in the East Midlands. The association closed in the late 1990s.
