Administrative History | Idridgehay and Alton Parish Council was established under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1894. The first meeting of the Council took place in 1895. In 1973 Ashleyhay was grouped with Idridgehay and Alton to create a new parish, with powers to form a new parish council. Parish councils help to provide local facilities and services, often by liaising with county or district councils, in areas such as street lighting, recreation grounds, transport, public seating and planning. |
Custodial History | The records were deposited in the Derbyshire Record Office in November 2003. |
