Administrative History	The first school appears to have been built in 1843. It is known as Sale and Davy's School after two benefactors, Miss Sale and Mr Davy. In 1876 Sir John Harpur Crewe gave a site for the erection of a National School.
Custodial History	Most of these records were formerly listed as D2354 A/PEF 1-5. Reaccessioned 2003.
