In 1932 United Methodists joined Wesleyan and Primitive Methodists to form the Methodist Church. Clay Cross and Stonebroom United Methodist Circuit joined Clay Cross Wesleyan (see D3458) and Clay Cross Primitive Methodist Circuits (see D5579) to form Clay Cross Methodist Circuit.
