Administrative History
Wallace Tivey and Gwendoline Heath met in 1943 and corresponded for the duration of the Second World War; they were married in December 1944. Wallace Tivey was demobbed in 1946 after the defeat of Japan. The couple set up home in Melbourne, Derbyshire and were married for 47 years. Both died in 1991.
