Administrative History
The Wesleyan chapel was built in 1815. It was part of the Ashby-de-la-Zouch Wesleyan Methodist circuit until 1873 and then part of the Woodville and Swadlincote circuit until the South Derbyshire Methodist Circuit was formed in 1955. For a brief period (1962-1967) it was part of the Newhall and Woodville Methodist Circuit.
Custodial History
The records were deposited by the Superintendent Minister of the South Derbyshire Methodist circuit at various times from December 1983.
